Master Shlomo Kapelnikov
Machatz Unification System
Born in Jaffa, Israel, Shlomo has been teaching self defense in Los Angeles for 20 years. He is a Master Degree Black Belt in the art of Machatz and a top master in his field. He began studying Martial Arts at age ten, and obtained his Black Belt at age thirty six.
Shlomo immigrated to the United States in 1975, and became an American citizen in 1994. He has invested 25 years of study in Kung-Fu San Soo under two masters: Master Andre Salvage and Master Larry Wikel. His love for children and his devotion as a father of 18 year old daughter, has increased his need to develop a children's program for self defense.
Shlomo believes in leadership and power of the self. Having served four years in the Israeli Army, he is well-trained in the power of the mind and the body. He says, "The normally hidden contents of the mind, especially in resolving conflicts, leadership, verbal and physical communication skills, create a sound understanding of oneself and others".
The ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new situations has become part of his life. His expertise in the use of power, strength, defense and offense techniques has allowed him to build, as well as reinforce, the character of men, woman and children, with an overwhelming sense of pride, respect and dedication to himself and to others.
